The edX discussions experience is getting a major upgrade focusing on navigation, help and support, configuration and moderator tools. edX also now supports integration with 3rd party discussion providers at course level and at program level. Extending the Open edX platform sustainably through the Open edX Events and Filters framework
We’ll take a look at the workings of the new Open edX Hooks Extension Framework. This framework is a mechanism to extend the Open edX platform without modifying the core of the platform. It works across the board for interactions of students and authors with the platform, and is designed to be used via Open edX plugins without sacrificing the capability to test the integration with different Open edX releases.

Rethinking Open edX documentation
Open edX documents and information are located across multiple sources, making it difficult for users to know where to start. We see this as an opportunity to build a better information strategy for the Open edX project that addresses the needs and perspectives of all Open edX users.
